About EcoTheos™
EcoTheos™ is a platform for research, teaching, and program development in the fields of ecotheology, creation care, and faith-based engagement with ecological responsibility. It brings together theological reflection, ethical inquiry, educational formation, and public-facing scholarship in order to explore how communities of faith might respond thoughtfully to the ecological challenges of the present.
The work of EcoTheos™ is shaped by a broad understanding of ecology as a matter that touches not only the environment, but alsoimagination, spiritual formation, cultural practice, and communal responsibility. In this sense,
EcoTheos™ is concerned less with technical environmental analysis than with the theological and ethical questions that arise when human beings consider their place within creation and their obligations toward the more-than-human world.
At the heart of EcoTheos™ is the belief that care for creation should be understood as a serious field of reflection and practice within contemporary religious life. This includes attention to stewardship, restraint, justice, hope, education, and the role of faith communities in shaping forms of ecological awareness and response. Inspired in part by Laudato Si’, EcoTheos™ seeks to contribute to conversations that are both intellectually grounded and attentive to spiritual and communal life.
EcoTheos™ serves companies, churches, schools, ministries, nonprofits, and institutions seeking thoughtful engagement with ecotheology and creation care through workshops, research, writing, and educational initiatives.
EcoTheos exists to foster rigorous reflection and meaningful engagement at the meeting point of theology, ecology, ethics, and culture.

EcoTheos™ designs and delivers workshops, seminars, and teaching sessions that introduce and deepen engagement with themes such as creation care, Laudato Si’, Christian stewardship, ecological ethics, fasting and restraint, and the role of faith communities in responding to ecological crisis. These offerings are suited to churches, schools, retreat contexts, adult formation programs, and public events.
EcoTheos™ develops educational and formation-oriented programs for churches, ministries, and institutions seeking to integrate creation care more intentionally into their intellectual, spiritual, and communal life. Such programs may include lecture series, seasonal initiatives, reading groups, retreat themes, parish education, or interdisciplinary discussion formats.

EcoTheos™ offers talks, lectures, facilitated discussions, and public-facing presentations for audiences interested in the intersection of theology, ethics, ecology, and culture. These engagements are designed to be intellectually substantive while remaining accessible to mixed audiences.
EcoTheos™ was founded by Heidi Karlsson, an independent scholar, educator, and program developer whose work is situated at the intersection of ecotheology, ethics, culture, and public life. Her approach is interdisciplinary and reflective, informed by theological inquiry, educational design, and a sustained interest in how communities interpret and respond to questions of ecological responsibility. Through EcoTheos™, she develops workshops, research-informed programmes, and written materials that invite deeper engagement with creation care as a theological, ethical, and communal concern. Rather than approaching ecology solely in technical or political terms, her work considers the intellectual and spiritual frameworks through which stewardship, responsibility, restraint, and hope are understood and practiced. EcoTheos™ reflects this commitment to rigorous reflection, thoughtful teaching, and forms of public engagement that take both faith and ecological concern seriously.
